Summer Style Segment

Nicole's Summer Style Segment will premier this weekend on June 21st. This is a great segment for anyone looking for tips and tricks for summer dressing. I will also be featuring great places to shop for summer bargains, accessories to look for this summer and the right sunglasses for different face shapes. I will also touch on hot summer hair styles. This segment will have features for men and women. This year's summer segment will also touch on do's and don'ts for the summer and plenty of pictures to visually guide you.  Confession for Summer.....I have fallen in love with mules all over again. These shoes may not be the best for running around town doing errands, but they are the best for looking CUTE! The memories of many shoe trends ago and how I would not be caught outside without my mules seem to continue to run through my mind every time I turn a page of a magazine and see a model wearing mules. This is a new break the bank + indulge in mule shopping. So many styles and so many possibilities for my feet. This Summer will definitely be one full of my favorite slide ins.....mules!  Well loves, off to the mall to explore the possibilities of this new love!!!

The Denim Dance......

Hello all my fashionistas and fashionmistas........it has been quite some time since I have had the chance to sit and share my fashion thoughts with you all. I have been on this fashion journey looking and searching for something that would peak my interest. In all my searches I have found some great summer looks and had the chance to meet some very fashionable people. The topic that came up the most in all of the circles I traveled in was denim. Everyone loves it, but not everyone knows how to make it work for day, night, office, party, date, or fun with friends. I decided that now would be a great time to do my annual denim segment. For the rest of the week, I will be showing great ways to wear denim for Summer and Fall. As you all know, I am always on the hunt for great fashion at a wallet friendly price. This week I stumbled across a piece of awesome "fashionista on a budget" news. Issa London ( a name that many of you may not know just yet) has teamed up with Banana Republic to offer a collection that is trendy yet wallet friendly. She was catapulted to fame when she designed the iconic blue wrap dress that Duchess Kate wore to announce her engagement to Prince William. From then on, Issa London was a household name overseas. The partnership with Banana Republic will result in a 40 piece capsule collection will break out world wide on August 6th. It will offer scarves with beautiful patterns, jewelry created with African inspiration, and wrap dresses. This is a collection that all of my fashionistas will not want to miss. Recently while hunting for summer styles I stumbled across these lovely street styles that just make you want to stop and stare. I love the fresh look that Summer 2013 is bringing to the sight. People are looking fresh, funky, clean, and ready for sunshine. The look of summer is bright clothing and clean lines. Summer is around the corner and the fashion is already in full bloom. While hunting for great style I found tons of people from around the world showing off all the beautiful looks that can take one from Spring to Summer. I love the two pictures below, not only because of the beautiful color blue that reminds me of standing near the ocean, but because of the airy brightness that the outfits have. There is something about bright colors, great sun, and summer enjoyment that can draw out the inner fashionista or fashionmista in anyone. Cool Colors and Hot Fashion

I have been searching for something beautiful and different to transition me from Spring to Summer. Finally fate led me back to my first love.....STRIPES!! I have always been a fan of stripes in every color possible. Flipping through the pages of InStyle Magazine and I found the ever beautiful stripe dress. This is a dress that when worn the right way can add a lot of spice to the person wearing it. Below is a picture of the ever beautiful Zoe Saldana in a Dolce and Gabbanna striped dress. I love how she added the white pumps to bring out the bright white of the dress. If you love this style but not the price you are in luck. I found the same style at Target and Old Navy. These two places have great striped dresses at wonderful prices. 

Now for the fellas....I have been noticing that men this year are taking a more dapper approach to style and dressing. Tom Ford has created the casual suit for Spring and Summer in really great colors. I have to confess that I am biased towards the bright white and the Salmon colors. While I know that the cost of the suits below may be a wallet buster for some, they are worth the investment and will last a lifetime. I have found some great alternatives and Dillard's and Macy's. Target and JCPenney also had some great styles in these lovely Spring and Summer colors for wallet friendly prices. Check these stores out and give the dapper suit look at try.
