FIERCE FUCHSIA

Many that know me, know that I am a lover of fashion and will truly suffer to look my best. This post is a fine reflection of that. See my dears, pink in any form just was never on my list of colors to wear.....until recently. I was shopping around for the perfect pair of fall pants that would stand out in the crowd and the pants above caught my eye. As you can see, any girl would just fall in love with the deep rich hue and the perfect leg shape. So I decided that I should try these gems on and see how they look. I was shocked and amazed and the way they made my skin pop and the brightness they brought to my look. So I went for it! Now I, Ms. NikkiNicole has her first and soon to not be only pair of Fuchsia Pants! I could not resist finding some pictures for you all of different styles of the fushia. I even found a little something for the fellas. So, lets all give pink a try. Seeing as how October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.....this would be the perfect time!

Rapper's Delight......THE WEEKEND!

Recently I was introduced to the musical sounds of The Weekend. Born into this world as Abel Tesfaye, The Weekend is a well rounded rapper and producer. Though he was virtually unknown to a large part of the world's population until 2011, he dropped three mixtapes that not only received tremendous love from music heads around the world, but were critically acclaimed. I wanted to spotlight this hotter than ever rapper because he embodies what Keep Me Trendy really loves. We love the unknown stars and the rising heroes in music, art, and fashion. Check out this great musician and fall in love with his music.

Fall Fashion 2013

Fall is right around the corner and what better way to bring in this great season than with a brand new tweed look. Fall happens to be one of my favorite seasons because it is the one time of the year that you can play with your style a little bit. Fall is not too hot and not too cold. It does not call for bright colors or dark heavy colors. Fall season allows you to be free and a little bit of a mix master. I for one will be setting my beams on tweed suits for work, tweed blazers for dinner meetings, and all the great looks that tweed can bring. Another reason that tweed is a good look......because it tears down the gender barriers. Men as well as women can look great in this fabric. I gave you a little glimpse of how lovely tweed can be. Explore this fabric and all the styles you can create with it.

Trend Report: OXBLOOD RED LIPS

As you all may or may not know by now, I am a huge fan of red lips. They have always been one of my favorite accessories. If you see me, then you get to see bold red lips. This color for me is something that I know works, so I tend not to stray from it. Also, being honest....I just love how it makes me stand out in a crowd. With that being said, you can imagine the excitement that started to flow when yours truly discovered the trend for fall. I have been following colors this year, so I figured this would be the hit. New for Fall 2013.......OXBLOOD RED LIPS!!!! I love the smooth look of this color on any and all skin tones. No matter the undertone of your skin, this color will look great on anyone and just pop.

Me being who I am, I can not just leave you with a tale of what to wear for Fall. I have to give my pointers on how to wear this great look. First prep your lips with a nice lip balm. Next, smooth on your newly purchased Oxblood lipstick. Now, you need to make sure that excess lipstick is off....I do this by either kissing a piece of white paper or the back of my hand. Lastly, do a teeth check and make sure that there is not one speck of lipstick on your lips. No one wants to smile and have lipstick all over their teeth. Now that we have the "how to's" settle.....be free and enjoy your new look. Put on a great outfit, smooth your hair into a neatly done look, and strut your hotness out the door. XOXO

2013 Nails.......

Nails have become the new accessory for the 2013 Fashionista. When your out living your daily life, meeting people and networking, the last thing you want are bad looking nails. This season that all can change with a simple manicure and the new oval nail look. This shape is a change from the square or pointy nails. It's petite, fashion forward and looks great on long or short nails. This trend is also great because it creates the illusion of super slender fingers. Try this trend for yourself today. Try it on long, medium, or short nails. Check out the sample pictures below.

Love how these nails not only showcase the new oval shape, but also the caviar, glitter, and 3-d trends

I love the mix of light and dark nail colors

The dark nail is classic and classy. I love the added 3-d look to give texture

Hot Collaborations for Spring 2013

Breaking News in the fashion world: Supermodel Anja Rubik teamed up with Giuseppe Zanotti to create a great capsule shoe collection. This capsule collection is a mix of super sexy and rock diva. The collection can be found on Net-a-Porter and giuseppezanottidesign.com and range in price from  $1250 to $1750. This is a collection worth checking out!!!

Another great collaboration this Spring that I am just loving is Robert Downey Jr. and GQ Magazine. Robert Downey Jr. is truly the come back kid. Not only does he have tons of great movies under his belt and is the super hero (Iron Man) of one of the hottest action films.....he continues to soar to new heights and gets better looking with each passing year. The May issue of GQ is bound to be one that you will not want to miss. Robert Downey Jr. and the writer for the Avengers, Chris Heath, finally confirm that Mr. Downey is the one and only $50 Million Dollar Iron Man. We also get a sneak peak into Robert Downey's world!
