Denizen by Levis have rocked and shocked my world. This denim company was created by Levis jeans company and made to fit every shape and body size. Denizen has a four way stretch fit that prevents back gap, sagging, and bagging. You can move, sit, stand, and do what ever your need to do without worry of saggy pants that expose way too much. I am one person that has the hardest time finding denim for myself because of these reasons. The Maxi Dress

 

 

This Spring I have found myself falling in love with maxi dresses. Not only can they be casual or dressy, they have the tendency to be very comfortable. I have found that whether hot or cold you can make a maxi work. If it is hot, just dress it up with jewelry or a scarf. For colder climates add a little denim jacket or cardigan. The style possibilities are endless, but fun. Also try this lovely trend with flats, heels, sandals, and for my cowgirls....dainty cowboy boots.

 

 

Casual Sunday

Today was a casual kind of day. My family decided to take a day trip for my dad's birthday. I decided that I wanted to be comfortable and cute at the same time. I chose the following outfit so that I could ride in comfort and enjoy the day in style. The pants are these awesome palazzo pants that I found at Target for $19.99. SPRING 2014

 

 

Spring 2014 is around the corner and I am so excited. Fashion for 2014 is all about mixing patterns, enjoying color, and playing with your own personal style. This year we will see a lot of personal style peppered with the hottest trends. The most exciting part is the use of patterns and how well we are seeing designers mix them. My favorite was the polka dots and stripes look created by Christopher Baily for Burberry Prorsum and their Spring 2014 runway show. It really shows how one can be fashionable and fun all at the same time. Lace for women will be big. So will floral designs, cropped tops, and ladylike style. This will also be a year when we will see the British male style invade American male style. Men will venture into more color and fitted clothing. Pants will be ankle length. We will see more white denim on males jeans with tailored blazers. I especially love how men are also showing a love for accessories and playful looks. Like it's predecessors 2014 is showing a love of DENIM, DENIM, AND MORE DENIM. This year denim will be dressy, classy, fun, and casual. FIERCE FUCHSIA

Many that know me, know that I am a lover of fashion and will truly suffer to look my best. This post is a fine reflection of that. See my dears, pink in any form just was never on my list of colors to wear.....until recently. I was shopping around for the perfect pair of fall pants that would stand out in the crowd and the pants above caught my eye. As you can see, any girl would just fall in love with the deep rich hue and the perfect leg shape. So I decided that I should try these gems on and see how they look. I was shocked and amazed and the way they made my skin pop and the brightness they brought to my look. So I went for it! Now I, Ms. NikkiNicole has her first and soon to not be only pair of Fuchsia Pants! I could not resist finding some pictures for you all of different styles of the fushia. I even found a little something for the fellas. So, lets all give pink a try. Seeing as how October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.....this would be the perfect time!

Recently while on the hunt for some fashion inspiration to write about, I spotted some great street style. Now those of you that read my blog often, know that I love street style. I am the ultimate street hunter for anything from fashion to music to art. I love to see the way that fashion, music, and art translate to the street. Recently I spotted some great style and details that on several outfits. Below are some of the styles and details that really stuck in my mind from my hunt. I would like to think that my readers and viewers would enjoy these looks as much as I did when I spotted them.

Recently I had the chance to get out and about and taste a little bit of Spring fashion. I have to admit that I have fallen in love with bright color pants and funky t-shirts with sayings on them. I tracked down this really cool "boy london" white top. This was a good purchase at just $54. The Nike Air Jordans are not cheap but they are worth every penny charged. The jeans were an easy buy. I generally do not buy my colorful or trendy pants at the typical stores, because I choose not to spend hundreds on dollars on pants that I will not wear often. Krazy for Khaki

For the month of April GQ magazine gave us all fashion insight with their "style bible" for all the men who love to look great or are just in need of something new. The did an awesome feature on khaki and for this they teamed up with their own executive stylist, Brett Fahlgren. Brett styled this shoot with the breeze and ease that any man would feel when wearing the new khaki look. This look represents the fun laid back feeling of today's man. I love the freedom it brings men by allowing them to move around freely and still look great. If you have had the chance to grab the April Style Bible, then you have enjoyed this great spread. Hot Collaborations for Spring 2013

Breaking News in the fashion world: Supermodel Anja Rubik teamed up with Giuseppe Zanotti to create a great capsule shoe collection. This capsule collection is a mix of super sexy and rock diva. Another great collaboration this Spring that I am just loving is Robert Downey Jr. and GQ Magazine. Robert Downey Jr. is truly the come back kid. Not only does he have tons of great movies under his belt and is the super hero (Iron Man) of one of the hottest action films.....he continues to soar to new heights and gets better looking with each passing year. The May issue of GQ is bound to be one that you will not want to miss. Robert Downey Jr. and the writer for the Avengers, Chris Heath, finally confirm that Mr. Downey is the one and only $50 Million Dollar Iron Man. We also get a sneak peak into Robert Downey's world! 

Cool Colors and Hot Fashion

I have been searching for something beautiful and different to transition me from Spring to Summer. Finally fate led me back to my first love.....STRIPES!! I have always been a fan of stripes in every color possible. Flipping through the pages of InStyle Magazine and I found the ever beautiful stripe dress. This is a dress that when worn the right way can add a lot of spice to the person wearing it. Below is a picture of the ever beautiful Zoe Saldana in a Dolce and Gabbanna striped dress. I love how she added the white pumps to bring out the bright white of the dress. If you love this style but not the price you are in luck. I found the same style at Target and Old Navy. These two places have great striped dresses at wonderful prices. 

Now for the fellas....I have been noticing that men this year are taking a more dapper approach to style and dressing. Tom Ford has created the casual suit for Spring and Summer in really great colors. I have to confess that I am biased towards the bright white and the Salmon colors. While I know that the cost of the suits below may be a wallet buster for some, they are worth the investment and will last a lifetime. I have found some great alternatives and Dillard's and Macy's. Target and JCPenney also had some great styles in these lovely Spring and Summer colors for wallet friendly prices. Check these stores out and give the dapper suit look at try. 

April Showers and Stylish Flowers......

Ladies....Spring is here and with it comes blossoming flowers and the chance to wear beautiful dresses. This spring is all about the floral look. Designers are adding the floral look to dresses, shirts, and pants. I like the look of the floral dresses because they will work well for any body size. Try this trend! Floral dresses will be great this season for the office, shopping on the weekends, and cozy little date nights. 

Now for my fellas.....I chose not to do a post this evening on male fashion because last week I was faced with having to solve a shaving bump and razor burn issue for someone. In my search to resolve their issue I found a great article in Watch Magazine's April 2013 issue about shaving and the proper way to do it. I wanted to share these finds with the men that follow my blog and social sites in the hopes that it would help other males in need of shaving tips and tricks. Below are the tips that I learned on my journey to the smooth face for men.

1. Follow the grain for the initial shave, then go one time against the grain for smooth shave.

2. Always shave after you shower. Give your skin a chance to moisten before you shave.

3. Use a razor like the Gillette Trac II to help keep skin smooth and bump and burn free. 

Lastly try to make sure that you exfoliate the skin before and after you shave. Keep your skin moist and replace your razor after 6 shaves. Always try to use the hottest water possible before and during your shave. I hope this helps those out there dealing with razor bumps and burns. 

Spring Coats

Spring is here and we all need something that will keep us warm and trendy. I like the new spring look coats that have been showing up on runways this year. Spring coats are more classy and fit with the trend of when men dressed dapper and ladies dressed demure. For Spring 2013, the coats are more fitted to the body and carry a certain vibe or style that speaks wonders when you are walking down the street. Spring coats are showing up in a variety of lengths, styles, colors, and cuts. A few things to be on the look out for when you are picking that very special coat. Always watch the fit of the coat. You want your spring coat to fit your body and have a nice shape. Keep in mind the impact that you want to have when wearing your topper. Do you want something with a lot of frills and things going on? Do you want something less noticeable? Or, would  you like something in between that may stand out but not too much? Finally, explore all of your options and everything that the coat has to offer. Make sure that you have options for being casual and for those dressy moments that arise. 

DENIM IS BAAAAACK!

Denim is back! It's not just your everyday blue...denim is back in an array of colors and designs for men and for women. Everyone is getting into the denim trend this year. You can dress it up or down. This season's denim is making a big hit all over the globe. Places like the Gap are selling these fashion cravings for as low as $69.There are stores such as JCPenney and www.jcp.com that are making the looks a little more affordable in their everyday low prices of $25 and up. Fashionistas and Fashionmistas are loving it!!!

Suits are becoming the hot things for me right now. Not just any suits, but well fitted and tailored suits. Gone are the days when the sleeves come down to your palms and the pants hit the heel of your shoe. The new suits that have been spotted on runways and in books like GQ are sleek and or so classic.

In the midst of my fashion hunting yesterday I came to a complete stop when I saw a bright handbag gleaming on the shelf. I love bright bags and the way that they light up an outfit. The only problem that I came across is having to pay hundreds of dollars for a "trend" that caught my eye. I am a believer in spending big on wardrobe staples and being modest on the trends. So, me being who I am went to one of my favorite places......TARGET to see if they were in line with the bigger department stores. What do you know, TARGET and TARGET.COM both had bright bags in great styles for under $40.  I LOVE IT! You will love this and your wallet will also.
